Flowers, candles, scarves, cans of beer laid in memory of 29-year-old Michalis K. who was stabbed to death outside the AEK Football Club Arena in the Athenian suburb of Nea Philadelphia.

Further developments have emerged regarding the violent clashes in New Philadelphia involving Croatian hooligans, tragically leading to Michalis Katsouris's death.

According to reports from the Star, fresh arrest warrants are in the process of being issued for both Croatian and Greek hooligans. This move comes as it is widely believed that not all individuals involved in the New Philadelphia events that resulted in Michalis Katsouris's death have been apprehended.

More Arrests in Greece AEK

Sources indicate a warrant has already been issued for a Greek individual identified as A.D., whose involvement has been unveiled through his social media posts. In these online statements, he claims participation in the incidents, prompting authorities to seek his arrest. Furthermore, it is anticipated that additional arrest warrants for the Croatian individuals, identified through seized vehicles, will be issued starting tomorrow.

The available information points to the issuance of 4 to 5 new arrest warrants, signifying an escalation in the number of accused individuals related to Michalis Katsouris' murder.

More than 20 items collected from the crime scene are under scrutiny due to bloodstains. Authorities have focused their investigation on visual evidence from area cameras, improvised objects discovered at the scene, and DNA analysis of the arrested individuals.

According to journalist Vassilis Lambropoulou from "Ta NEA" and "To VIMA" newspapers, approximately 20-25 items collected by law enforcement around the stadium, documented in images secured by MEGA, are currently undergoing examination by forensic laboratories due to the presence of bloodstains. The results of this analysis will be cross-referenced with samples taken from the unfortunate 29-year-old victim and others derived from blood analyses conducted on the pavement and sidewalk outside the AEK stadium.

Through DNA analysis of these samples, police aim to ascertain crucial information: the identities of the attack victims beyond the 29-year-old, who were injured, and the identities of the perpetrators, specifically those wielding the fatal weapons.

Of paramount importance in this analysis is the revelation of where Michalis Katsouris began to bleed, leading to his eventual collapse outside the shelter he sought refuge in – essentially pinpointing the location of the knife attack.

Authorities also await results from examining two folding knives confiscated from arrested hooligans. This analysis establishes whether these weapons were employed against the 29-year-old AEK fan.
