Scheduled to land in Australia by Friday 3 November for her much anticipated tour, renowned Greek singer Peggy Zina has been delayed in Athens airport after the Qatar aircraft she was set to board experienced mechanical difficulties.
The delay has caused the necessary postponement of two of her scheduled shows.
The show scheduled for 4 November in Adelaide at the Krystal Function Centre has now been moved to the Friday evening of the 17 November at the same venue.
Similarly, the show scheduled for 6 November in Melbourne at Trak Lounge Bar has now been postponed to Saturday 18 November at the same venue.
Although due to unforeseen circumstances out of their control, the show organisers apologise for the major inconvenience caused to some ticket holders.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank Qatar Airways staff at Athens International Airport for their prompt and professional service in reaccommodating Peggy and her 16-person-strong party," they said.
The airline has placed Peggy Zina on the next available flight to Australia and she is due to arrive in the country by Wednesday November 8 and fulfil all shows as planned, albeit with the necessary postponement of the two above mentioned shows in Adelaide and Melbourne.
