Greece to star in luxury holidays for the British in 2024

Kea island holidays

The search by British travellers for new destinations and upgraded services, their intention for higher average spend per trip, the expansion of the period in which they take their holidays, but also the "3generations" (three generations) travel, are the dominant post-pandemic trends in the UK market.

This conclusion was reached during an informative event organised last week in a Greek restaurant in London by the EOT Service of the United Kingdom & Ireland ahead of the peak booking period at the start of the new year.

The event was part of the EOT's collaboration with Aspire magazine, Travel Weekly Group and Jacobs Media Group. It was attended by 25 selected executives of the British travel market that specialise, among other things, in luxury tourism.

Chatting with attendees and answering questions from Travel Weekly editor-in-chief and leading travel journalist Lucy Huxley, also referring to the opening within the same year in Athens and Kea of the ultra-luxury hotel chain One&Only.

The discussion was accompanied by dinner (private fine dining) with characteristic dishes of Greek cuisine, as gastronomy is an important factor in the choice of destination by British travellers.
