In a song that is an anthem for the LGBT+ community, the president of SYRIZA danced with his husband - "We are moving forward for a modern Greece", he said

With the song "Firework" by Katy Perry, the president of SYRIZA, Stefanos Kasselakis, together with his husband, Tyler McBeth, celebrated the passing of the bill for the marriage of same-sex couples.

After the Parliament session was completed, the two of them were at the gay bar Sodade2, and as can be seen from the videos published by the club, both celebrated the new law of the state.

Stefanos Kasselakis and his husband dance to Katy Perry's song, which is an anthem for the LGBTI community, as it talks about the emotional liberation of man.

Afterwards, the SYRIZA president took the microphone inside the nightclub, saying:

"From now on, we move forward with modern society, modern Greece," he said while he also raised his fist as the audience applauded him.

He was then photographed with several patrons of the store.

When Kasselakis arrived, he was asked by journalists and answered about the abstention of Pavlos Polakis by mockingly saying, "That's what you're going to ask me about?"

Regarding the bill in particular, he emphasised that it would not pass without SYRIZA, while it would pass without PASOK."

"I'm calling parents; many of you may have a child who belongs to the LGBTI+ community; Greece is moving forward and becoming a progressive country step by step," said Kasselakis, among other things.

“That's all you need to know about who is the only progressive party in the country and who is the leader who is not afraid to say things like they are and have no justification for being progressive. Today is a day of joy for Greece, which is moving forward and becoming a modern society," he said, among other things.

“I have a plea to the parents of this country. There is a chance that you will have a child who may belong to the LGBTI community. I know half the country may be divided on this issue. There are many Greek men and women who are abroad and do not return because they know that this mentality belongs to previous times. I want them to see a modern society. To the parents who are in Greece and have children outside and inside, who in small societies may not feel comfortable telling their reality, embrace your children", concluded the president of SYRIZA.
