Where and when it will take place
The wonderful music accompanying one of the greatest film projects of all time, the legendary trilogy "The Lord of the Rings", will be performed on May 18 at the Christmas Theater in Athens.
The grand concert of the Lords of the Sound orchestra will tour the world, playing the impressive music of three Oscars, three Golden Globes and four Grammy award-winning composer, Howard Shore.
Consisting of 80 musicians and collaborators, the orchestra manages, in each of its concerts, to offer spectators an exciting concert experience directly connected to the fantasy world created by J. R. R. Tolkien, who has sold more than 100 million copies and made film history.
From the cheerful melodies of The Hobbit to the mysterious sounds of Mordor, through the songs of the elves – Howard Shore's Oscar-winning score creates an atmosphere that transports the listener to Middle Earth.
