Greece and Qatar are discussing ways to collaborate more closely on tourism

A recent meeting between Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and Qatari Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al-Mansouri focused on strengthening and deepening cooperation in the tourism sector, according to ANA reports.

Investment Opportunities: Minister Kefalogianni highlighted the wealth of investment opportunities currently available in Greece's thriving tourism industry. She emphasized Greece's popularity as a tourist destination among Arab countries, citing the continuously growing number of visitors as evidence.

Expanding Collaboration: The discussion also explored the potential for a new and updated Memorandum of Understanding between the two nations. This agreement could facilitate the exchange of tourism expertise and promote cooperation in air transport, particularly for key Asian destinations lacking direct flights to Greece. The aim of this collaboration is to increase tourism flows between the two countries.

Building on Momentum: The meeting concluded with discussions on a potential visit by Minister Kefalogianni to Qatar in the near future. This visit would build upon the positive momentum generated by the Prime Minister's recent successful visit to Qatar.
