In about two months, maintenance work on an Olympic Airways Boeing 727, which has been placed on Vouliagmeni Avenue, will be completed, tranforming it into an exhibition space accessible to the public.

The surrounding area, where the aircraft is housed, will undergo completion of works within the same timeframe, paving the way for its opening to the public.

The aircraft, which has been out of service for several decades, was relocated to Vouliagmeni Avenue from the runway of the old Elliniko airport, where it had been parked since decommissioning.

Its rescue and promotion as a landmark were personally undertaken by Cypriot businessman Andreas Christodoulides, the current owner of the Cyprus Private Aircraft Company "ZELA AVIATION."
