Cyprus Soars in Social Media Usage, Ranking Second in the EU

Cypriots are among the most active social media users in the European Union, according to a recent Eurostat report. The study found that 83% of Cypriots participate in social networks, placing the country second in the entire EU, only behind Denmark (91%).

This far surpasses the average participation rate across the union, which sits at just 59%. While social media use is widespread across Europe, some regions fall behind. Notably, France (44%), Germany (49%), and Italy (53%) reported significantly lower engagement.

Interestingly, Cyprus isn't the only region defying the trend. Denmark holds the top spot with several of its regions boasting incredibly high participation rates. These include Midtjylland (93%), Hovedstaden (92%), Syddanmark (90%), Nordjylland and Sjælland (both 89%).

While Cyprus may not have specific regions listed, the national average demonstrates a very strong social media presence throughout the country.
