Pro-Palestinian Protest Briefly Disrupts Athens Military Parade


Eight people were arrested in central Athens today after attempting to disrupt the city's annual military parade with Palestinian flags.

The demonstrators, expressing solidarity with Palestinians amid the ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, stepped in front of tanks on Panepistimiou Street during the parade, which marked the culmination of Greece's Independence Day celebrations.

The incident garnered attention internationally, with the Quds News Network reporting, "Activists waving Palestinian flags briefly stop the Greek national parade, held in Athens today, before being suppressed by police."
