One & Only Aesthesis: The most expensive hotel suite on the Athens Riviera

The Grivalia Hospitality

The Grivalia Hospitality Resort is preparing for its first summer season.

The One & Only Aesthesis hotel complex dominates an area of 280 acres stretching from Glyfada to Voula. The Grivalia Hospitality resort was inaugurated last October, and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis was in attendance. It is now preparing to serve its guests for the first summer season, offering them high-quality accommodation services and culinary delights.

This is the most expensive hotel suite on the Athens Riviera.

Among the 95 luxurious cabins, there are 18 small houses and 12 rooms in the main building, but two ultra-luxurious suites (villas) dominate, which will be rented for 35,000 euros per night, making it the most expensive hotel accommodation at the moment on the Athens Riviera, perhaps even Greece.

Proto Thema was given a tour of the 519sq.m “Villa One,” which has a private swimming pool, a roof garden, a gym, a chef’s room, and a butler’s room. Twelve famous works of art by Greek and foreign artists complete the decoration of the interior spaces.

The villa’s high aesthetic has also attracted the interest of Athenian businesspeople, who have approached the hotel asking for details on renting it during summer.

For larger groups, Villa One can be connected to Villa Nostos, the resort’s second villa, to create a stunning four-bedroom retreat.

Adding to these, the Epos Residence, which has two bedrooms, creates a six-bedroom “neighbourhood”—the ideal escape for a group of friends or a large family.

Grivalia Hospitality’s investment reaches 300 million euros and is expected to create hundreds of jobs—currently, 290 employees are employed, and in the summer months, it will increase to 500.

In addition to the cabins that will be rented for at least 1,000 euros per day, what is expected to cause a gastronomy sensation is the “Manko” restaurant with Peruvian cuisine by Gastón Acurio, which is making waves in Paris and Doha.

“One&Only consistently sets a precedent for delivering exceptional one-off resorts and unrivalled ultra-luxury experiences in every destination we enter. We are delighted to begin our Greek odyssey with One&Only Aesthesis – a new beach resort in the heart of one of the world’s most fabled cities,” said Philippe Zuber, Chief Executive Officer, Kerzner International, in October last year.

“As we continue our expansion across Europe, our debut in Greece will strengthen our brand positioning, bringing One&Only to the cradle of European civilisation. Inspired by Athens’s cultural heritage and culinary riches, One&Only Aesthesis is a celebration of life, energy, authenticity, glamour and charisma, providing an idyllic base from which to explore the rest of the country,” he added.

The resort’s general manager, Yann Gillet, is responsible for the debut of One & Only Aesthesis in Greece. Yann has more than twenty years of international hospitality experience, having held leadership positions around the world.

“I am excited to be leading the opening of One&Only Aesthesis in Glyfada,” said Yann.

“The resort is driving the revival of this legendary beachfront setting, which, for many Greeks, will transcend time and transport them to the paradise of their youth. Guests can anticipate a resort experience inspired by the vibrant cosmopolitan buzz of the ‘60s and ‘70s, at the height of the Hollywood Grecian era,” he added.
