Conde Nast Traveller has unveiled its list of Europe's Best Islands, with Greece dominating, claiming eight spots. The rankings, based on reader votes, offer insight into the diverse and captivating island destinations across the European continent.
Topping the list is Sardinia, Italy's gem in the Mediterranean, renowned for its pristine beaches and rugged landscapes.
Following closely behind is Greece's Mykonos, celebrated for its vibrant party scene and luxurious ambiance.
Among the notable Greek entries is Paros, known for its tranquil beaches and traditional charm, while Corfu impresses with its UNESCO-protected heritage sites and picturesque coastline. Rhodes, with its rich history and stunning beaches, also secures a spot on the prestigious list.
Italy's Ischia stands out for its therapeutic thermal waters and scenic coastal vistas, while Malta offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty, showcased in its architectural marvels and sun-soaked landscapes.
Turkey's Bozcaada emerges as a hidden gem, celebrated for its vineyards and timeless allure, while Spain's Canary Islands captivate with their diverse landscapes and year-round sunshine.
Rounding out the top 20 are Croatia's Hvar, known for its historic landmarks and idyllic beaches, and Portugal's Azores, characterised by their dramatic scenery and laid-back charm.
