Restaurateur Simon Gloftis is poised to unveil his latest culinary masterpiece: Sushi Room, a high-end sushi diner gracing Brisbane's vibrant James Street.

This venture marks Gloftis' fourth restaurant in the Queensland capital within the past five years, solidifying his position as a culinary force in the city.

In collaboration with Kelvin Andrews and Theo Kampolis, Gloftis has envisioned a sophisticated dining experience with an exceptional fit-out and a meticulously crafted menu. Diners can expect a set menu priced around $300 per person, featuring an array of premium produce sourced from across the country.

"Sushi Room embodies our unwavering commitment to showcasing the highest quality ingredients with minimal intervention, allowing the flavors to shine through," Gloftis explained.

The culinary helm will be led by Shimpei Raikuni, a former sushi chef at Kiyomi in Broadbeach. Raikuni's expertise, honed during his training in Japan, promises an authentic and refined sushi and sashimi experience.

Beyond its seafood offerings, Sushi Room will cater to vegetarians with a dedicated menu. The beverage program, curated by group sommelier Alexandra McPherson, will complement the culinary creations with an impressive wine list.

Set to open in late February, Sushi Room will join Gloftis' growing portfolio of successful ventures, including Hellenika, SK Steak & Oyster, and the upcoming Sunshine. This latest addition underscores Gloftis' unwavering passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to Brisbane's discerning foodies.
