GAS Welcomes New Leadership: Peter Dracakis as President, Bill Maloukis Joins Board

The Greek-Australian Society (GAS) has undergone a change to its board with the appointment of Peter Dracakis as its new president

The Greek-Australian Society Inc (GAS) is pleased to announce significant leadership changes with the election of Peter Dracakis as President and the appointment of Bill Maloukis to the GAS Board, filling vacancies left by outgoing President Ellie Stamatelatos.

Peter Dracakis, a GAS member since 2021 and Vice-President since 2023, brings a wealth of experience in accounting and corporate advisory. His career includes strategic business planning roles with major Australian brands such as PwC and The Coffee Club. Peter has been acting President since February 2024 and is committed to steering GAS through its next phase of growth.

Bill Maloukis, currently the Managing Director of Construction Specialties Australia, joins the GAS Board with over three decades of experience in business management and strategic planning. His distinguished career includes overseeing landmark projects such as Sydney Metro and the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Bill, a GAS member since 2022, is known for his community involvement and leadership roles within the Engineers Australia College of Leadership and Management Board.

Both appointments are effective until the end of the current term on 31 December 2024.
