Greece’s Minister of Defence, Nikos Dendias, Celebrates Air Force and Its Dedication to National Sovereignty

In a heartfelt tribute to the men and women of the Hellenic Air Force, Greece’s Minister of Defence, Nikos Dendias, visited the Icaron School today to take part in the celebration of Archangel Michael, the Patron Saint of the Air Force.

Dendias shared his pleasure at attending the event, expressing his admiration for the exceptional work of the Air Force personnel. He highlighted the crucial role they play in defending Greece’s national rights and sovereignty, particularly in the challenging and often tense airspace of the Eastern Mediterranean.

“I was very happy to be at the Icaron School today for the celebration of the Patron Saint of the Air Force, Archangel Michael,” Dendias said in a social media post. “I had the opportunity to congratulate the personnel for their excellent response to their duties and to express the gratitude of Greek society for their contribution to the defence of National Rights.”
