Forbes Travel Guide has released its list of the top 20 new luxury hotels worldwide for 2025, featuring an exciting entry from Greece.
The list celebrates remarkable new establishments in the hospitality industry, which have been assessed by Forbes’ team of “secret inspectors” who evaluate both service quality (accounting for 70% of the score) and the facilities (30%).

Standing out among these prestigious hotels is the Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino, the first-ever Mandarin Oriental hotel in Greece. Situated in the breathtaking region of Messinia in the Peloponnese near the historic town of Pylos, this hotel has earned the distinction of “Five-Star Hotel” by Forbes Travel Guide. It is the only new Greek entry and the first hotel in the Peloponnese to claim such an honor.

Raul Levis, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino expressed his pride in this achievement: “This recognition from Forbes Travel Guide is a tremendous honor for me and the entire team. Being the only new Greek addition to the 2025 list, and the inaugural hotel from the Peloponnese to receive this accolade, validates our commitment to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests.”

Scheduled to open on April 10, the hotel promises to offer a unique blend of luxury and personalized service. Guests can look forward to stunning views of Navarino Bay from specialty villas with three and five rooms and partake in exclusive culinary and wellness events like “Stirring Stars” and “Masters in Motion.”

Other notable entries on the list include The Maybourne Beverly Hills and the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong, the latter known as the tallest hotel worldwide. Each property on the list exemplifies outstanding service and superior accommodations, setting a new standard for luxury in the hospitality industry.
These hotels represent the pinnacle of new luxury travel destinations for 2025, as identified by Forbes Travel Guide.
