An Israeli couple was assaulted in Athens, Greece, while leaving a restaurant on Friday night, as reported by Israeli media.
The couple, who had been dining out, was attacked on their way back to their hotel, according to N12.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry has been informed about the incident and noted that the victims did not need hospitalization, according to KAN. The ministry stated that there were two attackers involved: One, a Gazan known for participating in pro-Palestinian demonstrations, was apprehended, while the other managed to escape.
The attackers reportedly identified the Israelis after overhearing them speak Hebrew and noticing a Star of David necklace, the ministry further explained.
