Today, traffic arrangements will be in effect in central Athens due to the student parade taking place for the National Anniversary of March 25.
There will be a temporary and gradual suspension of traffic from 10:00 until the end of the events, as well as a parking ban from 06:00 until the completion of the parade on the following avenues and streets:
- Vas. Amalias Avenue: Along its entire length in both directions, as well as its perpendicular streets up to the first parallel road.
- Vas. Sofias Avenue: In the section between Sekeri Street and Vas. Amalias Avenue, in the direction toward Syntagma Square.
- Vas. Georgiou A’ Avenue: Along its entire length.
- El. Venizelou (Panepistimiou) Street: Along its entire length and its perpendicular streets up to the first parallel road.
- Vas. Olgas Avenue: Along its entire length in both directions.
- Syngrou Avenue: In the section between Ath. Diakou and Dionysiou Areopagitou Streets, in the direction toward Syntagma Square.
In addition, the Greek Police (EL.AS.) notes that student parades will take place in municipalities of Attica on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, and necessary traffic measures will be implemented by the Traffic Police accordingly.
The Greek Police urges drivers, for their convenience and to avoid additional traffic issues, to refrain from driving through or parking their vehicles on the aforementioned avenues and streets during the specified time periods and to follow the instructions of traffic officers.
