Vancouver, British Columbia – Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ: LULU) has unveiled ambitious plans to significantly broaden its global footprint in 2026, marking the brand's largest single-year expansion with entries into six new countries via franchise partnerships.
The premium athletic apparel company will launch operations in Greece, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Romania, and India. The five European markets—including Greece—will be developed in collaboration with Arion Retail Group, while the entry into India builds on a previously announced partnership with Tata CLiQ.
This move underscores Lululemon's ongoing international growth strategy, bringing its high-performance products—designed for activities such as yoga, running, training, tennis, and golf—to new consumers in Europe and Asia Pacific.
Customers in the new European markets will access the full product lineup online via lululemon.eu, while Indian shoppers will browse through dedicated channels on Tata CLiQ Luxury and Tata CLiQ Fashion platforms.
Sarah Clark, Senior Vice President for EMEA at Lululemon, stated: “As we continue to see strong demand for the lululemon brand around the world, we’re thrilled to grow our presence and communities across Europe and Asia Pacific with entry into six new markets in 2026. Each of these markets offers exciting potential for our brand, and we look forward to working with our franchise partners to introduce our innovative products and engaging guest experiences to more consumers in these regions.”
Focus on Community and Wellbeing
Lululemon's expansion emphasizes building local connections through its global ambassador network and community events focused on movement and holistic wellbeing. This community-first approach will guide market entries, fostering physical, mental, and social health initiatives in partnership with local teams.
Strategic Growth Pillar
Currently operating in over 30 markets worldwide, Lululemon has established strong presence in North America, EMEA, Asia Pacific, and Mainland China. The 2026 launches follow recent successful entries into Italy, Denmark, Turkey, and Belgium via similar franchise models.
Specific details on store locations, opening timelines, and local activations will be announced throughout 2026 as preparations advance.
This record expansion highlights Lululemon's confidence in sustained global demand for its innovative athletic and lifestyle offerings.
