The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will visit Israel on Monday, 22 December 2025, for bilateral engagements and to attend the 10th Trilateral Summit with Cyprus, Greece, and Israel.

According to Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letymbiotis, the summit holds significant political and institutional importance. It takes place two years after the 9th Summit held in Nicosia on 4 September 2023, and in the context of regional developments following the events of 7 October 2023.
The 10th Summit underscores the continuity, institutional maturity, and strategic value of this trilateral mechanism, which serves as a reliable platform for political coordination and collaboration in critical sectors, including energy, economy, defence, cybersecurity, maritime security, and regional connectivity.
The meeting provides an opportunity to strengthen the broader strategic cooperation network among the three countries, delivering new tangible outcomes to address current geopolitical and economic challenges.
Discussions will focus on further developing the 3+1 format involving U.S. participation, as part of efforts to enhance regional integration and position the Eastern Mediterranean as a key hub for strategic, energy, and economic interconnections.
Special attention will be given to energy projects and interconnected infrastructure, providing political momentum to ongoing and emerging initiatives, building on recent progress such as the Cyprus-Lebanon Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) delimitation agreement.
Cyprus's active and complementary role in regional stabilisation efforts—particularly concerning Gaza in humanitarian, security, and reconstruction dimensions—will also be emphasised, within a responsible and multidimensional foreign policy framework.
At the conclusion of the summit, the leaders will deliver statements to the media.
The trilateral proceedings will be preceded by separate bilateral meetings between President Christodoulides and Israel's President and Prime Minister, highlighting the strong bilateral ties and mutual commitment to further deepening relations. Parallel meetings between the Foreign Ministers and Energy Ministers of Cyprus and Israel are also scheduled.
President Christodoulides is expected to return to Cyprus late on the evening of 22 December.
