Emmanouil Karalis was selected at the annual PSAT awards as the best Greek male athlete of 2025.
The Olympic pole vault medalist won the silver medal at the World Outdoor Championships in 2025, as well as gold at the World Indoor Championships.
"Manolo" became the first Greek to clear 6 meters in pole vault, consistently jumping over that height throughout 2025 and reaching 6.08m, a new Greek national record.
In the voting, he finished ahead of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Stefanos Tsitsipas.
