An elderly woman is hospitalized in critical condition after being stabbed by her husband, who subsequently took his own life. The tragedy unfolded in the Gkyzi area earlier this afternoon. According to all indications, the elderly man attacked his wife with a knife, injuring her in the neck. Police believe he likely assumed she had died and then ran and jumped from the balcony of their home.
The injured woman is being treated at Evangelismos Hospital in extremely serious condition, with doctors doing everything possible to keep her alive.
