Cyprus National Guard Strengthens Arsenal with Locally-Made Poseidon H10 Drones

The Cyprus National Guard has officially received two advanced Poseidon H10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), manufactured domestically by the Cypriot company Swarmly.

The handover took place during a special ceremony at the Patroklos Kokkinos camp in Mosfiloti. The systems—including the drones and a dedicated command and control vehicle—were provided free of charge by Swarmly, underscoring the growing strength of Cyprus's domestic defence industry.

The Poseidon H10 is a vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) tactical UAV with up to 4 hours of endurance, an operational range of 215 km, and full day/night capabilities. It deploys in approximately 10 minutes and can be equipped with advanced optical and electronic payloads tailored to mission needs.

Notably, the system has already proven itself in combat, with Ukrainian forces employing it on the front lines for reconnaissance and artillery targeting since at least 2022.

In remarks during the event, the Chief of the National Guard highlighted Cyprus's ability to develop cutting-edge technological solutions, stating that the drones will be fully integrated to enhance operational readiness significantly.

Attendees witnessed a live flight demonstration conducted by specially trained National Guard personnel, following instruction from Swarmly experts.

This delivery marks a milestone for Cyprus's defence self-reliance and comes amid ongoing regional security developments.
