Stefanos Tsitsipas appears to have moved on from his previous relationship with Paula Badosa, following comments from his mother describing it as "complicated."

The 27-year-old Greek tennis star recently shared highlights from a holiday trip to Namibia on social media and his YouTube channel, featuring American Kristen Thoms. Thoms, a former collegiate tennis player who has transitioned into modeling and content creation, was seen alongside Tsitsipas enjoying dinners, scenic walks, and exploring the landscapes of the Southern African country, including areas like Sossusvlei and Windhoek.

This public display of their romance comes shortly after Tsitsipas's mother, Julia Salnikova (also a former professional tennis player), opened up about his past relationship with Badosa in interviews. She described it as far from ordinary—marked by long-distance challenges, both players dealing with injuries from the start (Badosa was sidelined and unable to play when they began dating), and emotional ups and downs. Julia noted that the breakup affected Stefanos deeply, though she emphasized it was complicated and not something that would derail his career.

Tsitsipas and Badosa, who first went public in 2023, had an on-off dynamic and officially split in the summer of 2025 after early Wimbledon exits and ongoing professional struggles, including injuries. Sources described the breakup as mature and mutual, with no third parties involved, stemming from career pressures and past injury traumas.

Tsitsipas has recovered from a persistent back issue that nearly led him to consider retirement in 2025. He is now competing at the Australian Open 2026, where he faces Japan's Shintaro Mochizuki in the first round on Margaret Court Arena.

Meanwhile, Badosa has advanced in the women's draw, defeating Zarina Diyas in straight sets (6-2, 6-4) to reach the second round.

This new chapter for Tsitsipas signals a focus on personal well-being and new experiences amid his return to top-level tennis.
