Police Arrest Three People For Selling Cigarettes To Children

Police in Trikala arrested three people during inspections aimed at protecting minors from tobacco and alcohol products.

Officers from the Trikala Crime Investigation and Detection Subdivision arrested two men and one woman. Authorities filed a case against them for violating legislation on the protection of minors from tobacco and alcohol.

According to police, inspections at two kiosks and one convenience shop in the city found that the suspects, acting as employees or temporary managers, sold a total of three packets of cigarettes to three underage individuals.

Authorities continue to enforce checks as part of efforts to prevent illegal tobacco and alcohol sales to minors.
