A Tesla Model 3 has been scratched with a sharp object last weekend in the suburb of Toumpa, Thessaloniki.

The owner of the model found his car with a swastika scratched on the window, the words  “4 ΒΛΑΚΑ” (“for IDIOT”) and a message reading “Don’t be a Nazi”.

The Tesla owner had enabled the camera’s sentry mode, which captured three video clips documenting the suspects’ movements. The vandals were perceived to be two men and one woman.

This marks the fourth incident of Tesla vandalism in Greece, after two Tesla Cybertrucks were set on fire in Exarcheia in Athens and a Tesla Model Y was set on fire on Tositsa Street at the beginning of this year.

The vandalism is part of a wider trend globally escalating following the establishment of Elon Musk in the US government as Donald Trump’s key advisor.

Musk’s role is in a new advisory body created by US President Donald Trump named Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), tasked with cutting US government jobs and other spending aimed at boosting efficiency.

It has also heightened after Musk’s neo-nazi rhetoric.

Some Tesla owners have sought to distance themselves from Musk, resorting to bumper stickers stating “I bought this before we knew Elon was crazy” or “I just wanted an electric car. Sorry guys.”

Other Tesla owners are selling their Teslas, dropping their leases and getting rid of Tesla stock.

Musk came out on Friday on X commenting on the vandalism, reposting a collage of Tesla destruction.

“Has there ever been such a level of coordinated violence against a peaceful company?” he said. “I understand not wanting to buy a product, but this is extreme arson and destruction!”
