Matina Pagoni Shares Update on Singer’s Stable Condition
Athens, Greece – This Thursday, March 28, marks one year since Greek singer Dimitris Kokotas suffered a severe heart attack, beginning a prolonged health battle. The 56-year-old remains hospitalized at Georgios Gennimatas Hospital, where his family has stood by him daily.
In a recent television appearance, Matina Pagoni, a prominent doctor, provided an update on Kokotas’ condition. She described it as stable, with ongoing efforts from medical and physiotherapy teams to aid his recovery. Kokotas can now sit upright and responds emotionally to music, though he has not regained the ability to speak or make visual contact with those around him.
“His condition is stable. The physiotherapists and doctors are doing their best, but there’s no change in his speech. He reacts emotionally to stimuli like music,” Pagoni explained. “He still needs to remain in the hospital given his current state.”
