Famous 18-year-old 'Influencer' Haly Pham, who has over 2.2 million YouTube subscribers and close to 1 million followers on Instagram has posted a video telling her followers not to travel to Greece because “there’s nothing to do there” and also discourages them from visiting Santorini.
Pham who has become very popular amongst teens worldwide is known for her vlogs, sharing videos on her main and secondary channels. And this week she put up a video saying, “I highly discourage you to go to Greece, not only are they economically struggling and the government is struggling, but it’s just not fun. There’s nothing to do there.”
She then goes on to tell her followers that Santorini is nothing like Instagram bloggers make it out to be.
“You can barely maneuver through the streets because it’s so crowded and on the outside of it it's really bare. It’s just not that pretty. Santorini is not as pretty as Instagram bloggers make it seem.”
During her rant, Pham also adds, "there's no beach, it's just a cliff and it looks like flat land."
Some of the 'Influencers' Greek followers weren't too impressed, with one guy tweeting, "My fellow Greeks on this app need to watch this. This dumbass, privileged, entitled, spoiled, girl named Haley Pham had some words to say about Greece. I’m not even going to explain how dumb and bad she’s making herself look, y’all can listen to this and make your own opinion."

We have been to Greece the last two septembers for vacation. It is our favorite place to go. So much history stuff and places to go that our list gets longer not shorter. The people are great and we now have friends to visit on our favorite island of Naxos. Not to mention the great food and ice cream. We don’t go to Santorini or Mykonos because they are the bigger tourist traps IMO. I would love to be able to visit a couple times a year. Would really love a job that would require me to go there a few times a year as that would be so terrible…. I tell everyone I know to go to Greece as it’s a great place to be.
This person on the video is the type that has to be entertained at all times and if there isn’t a perfect beach with a theme park there it’s boring….. typical entitled millenial and a big part of what is wrong in our country (USA).
