A notorious Greek restaurant has finally come under scrutiny from a holidaymaker website, hitting the eatery with a rare “safety warning”.

Tripadvisor has added the warning to its website review page for DK Oyster Bar on the luxurious island of Mykonos after an outpouring of complaints ranging from rip-off prices to bullying tactics used to force customers into paying up.

“Tripadvisor has been made aware of recent media reports or events concerning this property which may not be reflected in reviews found on this listing,” its warning says.

It comes after endless customer disputes with the restaurant’s owner and managers, mostly involving foreign tourists being charged eye-watering amounts for a “portion” of food and drinks.

The latest to fall foul were American holidaymakers Adam Hagaun and Jessica Yarnall, who was hit with a massive $1200 bill for four crab legs, a salad and two drinks.

The couple believed the cocktails cost $40 each but after downing two mojitos, four crab legs and a Greek salad, they were handed a whopping $1200 bill.

When they challenged it, they were told their glass serving size was priced at $100 each.

DK Oyster Bar owner Dimitrios Kalamaras has branded holidaymakers who complain as “influencers looking for a free meal”.
