A 3.8-magnitude earthquake struck near Mitilini, Lesbos, North Aegean, Greece. The tremor was recorded around noon on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023, at 12:52 pm local time, at a shallow depth of 17.5 km below the surface.


The event was filed by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), the first seismological agency to report it.

"Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter."
