Spetses island Greece

Big 7 Travel, a renowned global travel website, has recently published its annual compilation of 'The 50 Best Islands in The World', with one Croatian island claiming a place in the prestigious top 10.

The list is a result of accumulated scores from previous media rankings and the invaluable expertise of the editorial team at Big 7 Travel. It encompasses a wide array of awe-inspiring islands from various corners of the planet.

Among the chosen few, the Greek island of Spetses secures an impressive sixth position on the list of the best islands in the world. However, claiming the coveted first spot is The Bahamas, closely followed by Tasmania, Australia, and the breathtaking Raja Ampat Islands in Indonesia. Tahiti in French Polynesia and the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador take fourth and fifth place, respectively.

6. Spetses, Greece

Greece isn’t short of good-looking islands, but Spetses is something special. It’s long been a playground for the Athenian elite, but in the last couple of years, Hollywood has taken notice too, using it as a location for major movie hits like The Lost Daughter and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. Little wonder why. This perfect, pint-sized island offers horse-drawn carriages, miles of sandy stretches and some of the country’s best restaurants, just two hours from the colourful capital of Athens.
