Erdogan's support for Hamas points to his future jihad ambitions

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan went on another tirade today: "Hamas is not a terrorist organisation, but a group of mujahadeen."

Erdogan would not consider the beheading, baby-killing and Osama bin Laden-praising Hamas as a terrorist organisation when he supports the same jihadi ideologues to fight Armenians and various forces in Syria and Libya.

Hamas is absolutely a terrorist organisation comparable to ISIS and Al-Qaeda, with the difference being that their primary focus is Palestine. However, that does not stop them from being internationalists, as their jihad in Syria, support for the Azeri-Turkish ethnic cleansing of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh, and praise of the conversion of Hagia Sophia, among many other instances, demonstrate.

If Hamas were to destroy Israel, its jihad would not stop with a Palestine "from the river to the sea", and instead, they would join the next international jihad when Jerusalem is back under Muslim hands - likely Cyprus/Greece and onwards to Italy to achieve the Islamic goal of finally conquering Rome (Sahih Muslim 2900, Book 54, Hadith 50), or Kashmir.

In 1988, Hamas explicitly acknowledged its links to the Muslim Brotherhood, the ideological organisation behind many global jihadist groups that Turkey and Qatar primarily support. The Muslim Brotherhood is not nationally focused, as per the idea of the Ummah in Islam.

However, Hamas is given this exemption since most Muslims exalt them to be the driving force of eventually conquering Jerusalem and bringing the Al-Aqsa mosque compound on the Temple Mount, the third holiest site in Islam, back under complete Muslim control.

Article 15 of Hamas' original manifesto said: "The day that enemies usurp part of Muslim land, Jihad becomes the individual duty of every Muslim. In the face of the Jews' usurpation of Palestine, the banner of Jihad must be raised."

Considering that Erdogan considers Cyprus, large parts of Greece and Kashmir to be Muslim lands occupied by Greeks and Indians, this falls under the Hamas belief "that enemies [who] usurp part of Muslim land" will face jihad. Therefore we can consider their involvement in any Turkish-Pakistani war against Greece and India if they ever succeeded in destroying Israel and reclaiming Temple Mount.

Therefore, why would Erdogan ever consider Hamas a terrorist organisation when they become Turkey's cannon fodder in future wars in a post-Israel world?

"O Israel, you can be a [terrorist] organisation because the West owes you a lot, but Turkey owes you nothing. Hamas is not a terrorist organisation, but a group of mujahadeen and liberators who fight to free its land and protect its citizens."
