The Gelasakis Group hotels achieved significant recognition at the Greek Hospitality Awards 2023, securing four gold, 4 silver, and two bronze awards.
The newly established five-star The Chania Hotel, a gem in the Gelasakis Group crown, operating since spring 2023 in Chania's city centre, received the gold award for "Best Greek New City Hotel."
It also garnered two silver awards in the categories of "Best Greek Design City Hotel" and "Best Greek Heritage City Hotel," showcasing its distinctive aesthetics that breathe life into Chania's historical landmark. Additionally, it earned the bronze award for "Best Greek Lifestyle City Hotel."
In the realm of resorts, the renowned five-star La Mer Resort & Spa, participating for the second consecutive year, secured three gold awards for "Best Greek Honeymoon Resort," "Best Greek Hotel Spa," and "Best Greek Hotel Breakfast."
It also received two silver awards for "Best Greek Adults Only Resort" and "Best Greek Green Resort." The hotel's seaside à la carte restaurant "La Brise de Mer" clinched the bronze award for "Best Greek Hotel Restaurant."
These prestigious awards, presented at a ceremony in Athens under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organization, signify the highest recognition for Greek hospitality. The event witnessed the participation of top government officials, institutional bodies, and key players in the Greek tourism industry.
Antonis Gelasakis, CEO of the Travel and hospitality Divisions of the Group, expressed gratitude for the accolades, emphasizing their significance in guiding the group's continued growth in the hospitality sector. He highlighted the commitment to environmental responsibility, community engagement, and sustainability in the tourism offerings provided by the group.
Notably, Antonis Gelasakis and Katerina Gelasaki received the awards, with Markos Georgiou, CEO of "Loguers," the company overseeing the sales and marketing of the Group's hotels, also present at the ceremony.
