Athens: A Christmas tree was stripped - Half the decorations were stolen (VIDEO)

The Christmas tree placed by the municipality of Athens in Klathmonos Square fell victim to thieves.

As OPEN reported, Christmas tree decorations in Klauthmonos Square in the Greek capital were stolen by people who could get their hands on as much as they could, leaving it bare from 'the waist down.'

According to the deputy mayor of Athens, "Every year we face these phenomena."

As he said, these problems are mainly in areas such as Agios Panteleimonas, Attica Square and Agios Pavlos, and not in the neighbourrhoods.
