Sofoklis Schortsanitis is facing a serious problem, with the veteran centre being treated at "Alexandra" hospital.

The former star of the Greek national basketball team was rushed to the hospital on Saturday night, having very high blood pressure and vomiting.

The 38-year-old former international player of Olympiacos and Panathinaikos immediately passed the necessary tests, with the information of sportal.gr stating that the first diagnosis is "Acute Renal Failure", without the cause having yet been established.

Schortsanitis will undergo a new series of tests, with his condition remaining stable for the time being.
