The Ellinikon redevelopment project is progressing well

Ellinikon

The excellent progress being made in the largest urban regeneration project in Europe, currently being constructed by Lamda Development in the Attica coastal suburb of Elliniko, was presented in the last news bulletin, "The Ellinikon", released a few days before the end of 2023.

The steps taken are not only impressive and unprecedented for Greece, but they are leaps of progress for the major Ellinikon project that make the new city increasingly visible to all, according to the introductory note, alongside pictures and videos on the progress of individual works in the context of the urban regeneration.

As noted in the last edition of "The Ellinikon", a 'smart city' is being created from scratch, incorporating cutting-edge technologies, advanced infrastructure and innovative systems. It will use technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), that make all buildings and all infrastructure 'smart', improving the residents' everyday lives and contributing to saving resources.

At the same time, the latest generation networks, 5G and fibre optics will offer seamless connectivity at ultra-high speeds. Every commercial or residential development in the new city of Ellinikon will be supplied with systems that will ensure energy efficiency and reduce their environmental impact.

The Metropolitan Park of Ellinikon, with an area of 2,000,000 sqm, will be the first smart park in Greece, including smart solutions for the visitors' safety and the protection of the natural environment. These solutions will be lighting systems that will adjust the intensity depending on the season and the amount of daylight, systems for the constant observation of the environmental conditions, and water and energy saving.
