The longtime President of Turkey is particularly disappointed after the hard electoral defeat in the Municipal elections...

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, after the bad election result on Sunday, declared that "... March 31 for us is not the end, it is a turning point." Press reports speculate that the heavy defeat pushed Erdogan to make decisions about his next step, which is clearly not retirement.

The 70-year-old Turkish leader's dreams continue. He wants to create the Turkish Tesla to become the next—albeit older—Elon Musk, who will leave a ready and strong automobile industry to his four children.

According to News Auto, there are raging rumours about a hidden financier and owner—none other than Recep Tayyip Erdogan!

The story of the car manufacturer Togg began with Turkey's vision to create its own national car. Officially, at least in 2018, the Turkish Business and Technology Federation (TOBB) collected stakes from various entrepreneurs and created the Togg Consortium.

The goal was to develop and manufacture electric vehicles.

Togg announced its first model, an electric SUV, in September 2019. Production started in Bursa in 2022 and is expected to increase gradually, creating jobs and boosting the local economy.

Togg also plans to launch several models, including passenger and commercial vehicles.

In fact, one of its broader plans is to build a large production unit in the European Union, with rumours stating that it has already been agreed that this will be done in Greece, specifically in Corinth.

Or in Crete, or Rhodes, or in Astypalaia...

Wherever the Turkish factory is built, Tesla and the new "Sultan Elon Musk," we wish you a good start to April.

Beware of fake news that is rampant on the internet...
