Erdogan announced his dreams of conquering Gaza, Thessaloniki and elsewhere

Erdogan went on another rant today at a pro-Palestine rally, where he said, among other things, how the Greek city of Thessaloniki, Gaza and elsewhere were inseparable parts of the Turkish homeland and that "our struggle are not confined to our own borders alone"

"We are such a great nation and state that our strength, our concerns, and our struggle are not confined to our own borders alone," he said in the same tirade but not in the video except below).

This is because Erdogan does not view the Turkish nation to be confined within the borders of Turkey and rather that Western forces snatched away "historical" Turkish lands, including Gaza.

In the same tirade when berating Israel, Erdogan threatened that "[Turkey] will suddenly come one night," a phrase Turkey said before invading Cyprus in 1974.

He also said, "We are the same in the Middle East as we were in Karabakh and Libya," a reference to Turkish military interventions in Nagorno-Karabakh and Libya.

Of course, not many Muslims will denounce a Turkish invasion of Israel, even if it means Palestine will not be free and instead be a Turkish province. This is because their claims of wanting an independent Palestine are faux. Their main interest is the Holy Lands under Islamic rule, whether that be Palestinian, Turkish, or something else.

If they truly support a free Palestine, they will denounce Erdogan's meddling and intentions to claim Palestine for Tukey, and work towards inclusivity that does not marginalise, and in Gaza's case terrorise, Christian Palestinians.

I obviously don't have an expectation though.

Transcript:

A century ago, for this nation and this country, Gaza was what Adana is. Just like Edirne is to Skope, Kirklareli is to Thessaloniki, Mardin is to Mosul, and Gaziantep is to Aleppo. Gaza was an inseparable part of the [Turkish] homeland's territory.

[Regarding the loss of our lands], where have we come from, and where are we now? They separated us from all these lands that are as much a part of us as our blood, our life, and our love.

At this magnificent gathering where we have come together to support our Palestinian brothers and sisters in Gaza, we must leave with a determination to never allow new Gaza's to emerge again.
