Evangelia is a multi-platinum Greek-American singer known for her captivating vocals and distinctive blend of Greek traditional instruments and modern pop music. Growing up between New Jersey and Greece, Evangelia was immersed in the rich culture and traditions of her family’s village, Paleochora, located just outside of Chania, Crete. This dual identity served as a wellspring of inspiration for her music, shaping her artistic vision and contributing to the groundbreaking sound that defines her artistry.
Evangelia's journey as a musician began early on. Influenced by traditional Greek music, she started dancing at 3 years old, and with the contemporary sounds of American pop music, she began honing her craft as a vocalist and songwriter. Critical to this journey was the dynamic range of Greek musicians Evangelia's father, former President of the Pan Cretan Association, would bring to the US for cultural performances. Evangelia's childhood was marked by watching these artists from the side of the stage with unwavering focus, subconsciously cultivating her future sound and inspiring her electrifying live performances.
Over the last 4 years, Evangelia has carved out a niche for herself in the music industry, entrancing audiences with her signature sound, dynamic performances and singular voice. Her music seamlessly weaves elements of Greek folk music and pop, creating a simultaneously authentic and innovative sound. In the span of 2 years she has had multi-platinum, gold and top radio hits in Greece such as “Fotiá”, “Páme Páme” and “Páli”. Most recently, she signed with Epic Records alongside Travis Scott, Tyla, Meghan Trainor in the United States, bringing her signature sound to mainstream American audiences.
Evangelia has collaborated with and opened up for Greece’s top artists including Konstantinos Argiros, Eleni Foureira, Ilias Vretos, Elli Kokkinou, Thanos Petrelis and more. She has performed at US music festivals like South By Southwest and Summerfest, with more to come.
In 2023, Evangelia launched her first sold-out jewellery collection, Lía by Evangelia. The rings are handmade in Greece, and the designs are reflective of the elements of fire, water, air and earth. The next line is set to be released later this year, and rumour has it that the team is working to launch a new product in tandem with the upcoming tour.
Now, as Evangelia embarks on her first North American tour, “Feels Like Greek Summer,” which is presented by Power Muse Productions and music industry titans Live Nation, she is eager to share her music with audiences across the continent. For Evangelia, this tour represents more than just a series of concerts—it is a unique chance to connect with fans, celebrate her heritage, and immerse the audience in the captivating magic of Greece and the universal language of music.
