Easy and light, this pasta is ideal for fasting or following a vegan diet and does not require much time for cooking.

Materials for four servings:
500 gr. spaghetti
½ cup extra virgin olive oil
Two cloves garlic, chopped
500 gr. round or acorn-shaped cherry tomatoes, cut in half
One pinch of sugar
2 tablespoon of fresh basil
Two tsp. of capers
salt, freshly ground pepper
Procedure
Step 1
Heat the olive oil over low heat in a large pot and sauté the garlic for 1 minute. Add the cherry tomatoes and continue sautéing for 5'-6' until they wilt.
Step 2
Mix well with the sugar, basil, capers, salt, and pepper. At the same time, boil the pasta for 2 minutes less than the time indicated on the package and transfer it to the sauce.
Step 3
Add one spoonful of the water in which the pasta was boiled and cook for another 2 minutes, continuously stirring. Serve the pasta hot with extra freshly ground pepper and some fresh basil.
