Police Officer Injured in Petrol Bomb Attack on Home of Greece's Supreme Court President

An overnight petrol bomb attack targeted the residence of Greece's Supreme Court president, resulting in injuries to one police officer, state news agency AMNA reported on Thursday.

The attack occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. local time in the eastern suburb of Papagou, where the home of the Supreme Court president is located. Unidentified individuals carried out the assault, causing injuries to a police officer who was stationed at the scene. The officer suffered injuries to his face and hand and was subsequently taken to a nearby military hospital for treatment. The police patrol car was also destroyed in the incident.

Nine individuals were initially detained in connection with the attack, but they have since been released. Anti-terror police have launched a comprehensive investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
