Sydney—The Head On Photo Festival, Australia’s largest photographic event, returns to The Muse Museum at TAFE NSW Ultimo (Building C, 695-731 Harris St) from November 12-27, 2024. Among the eleven featured photographers is Greek-Australian Nick Bourdaniotis, whose captivating exhibition “Greek Gaze” forms a key part of the festival’s Open Program.
Directed by George Karantonis, “Greek Gaze” showcases eighteen images captured during Bourdaniotis’s assignments and travels across Greece. Displayed across two exhibits within The Muse, the collection offers a visual narrative exploring the country’s rich history and vibrant culture, from ancient traditions to modern leisure. Bourdaniotis’s lens captures the essence of Hellenic heritage, vividly portraying the people of Greece and their deep connection to their past.
The exhibition is free and open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (closed Sundays). It will have an official opening reception on Friday, November 22, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Who is Nick Bourdaniotis:
The owner of Bourdo Photography, Nick, was appointed Director of Photography and Videography for Greek City Times in 2017. His inspired work quickly gained recognition on the global stage, opening doors that allowed his creative vision to flourish. Nick soon earned the esteemed title of an Evzone official photographer. In 2021, his captivating exhibition titled The Evzones Collection by Nick Bourdaniotis toured across Australia, then was showcased at the Athens War Museum in 2023, and now holds a permanent place in the Greek Presidential Palace and the Greek Presidential Guard Headquarters.
