Earthquake of 4.7 Magnitude Shakes Areas Near Patras, Felt in Achaia and Corinthia

A seismic tremor measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale, as reported by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), struck 27 kilometers east-southeast of Patras on Saturday evening. The earthquake, which occurred around 21:45, was felt in parts of Achaia and Corinthia.

In contrast, the automated solution from the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens recorded the quake at a slightly lower magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located 14 kilometers west-northwest of Kalavryta.

No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been confirmed, but the tremor has drawn attention to the seismic activity in the region.
