To understand the heart behind this collaboration, one must look back to the origins of Miss Polyplexi The brand was born from Vasiliki Theodorou’s childhood love of crochet, taught to her by her mother, who herself had learned from generations of women before her.

As a young girl, Vasiliki crocheted clothes for her dolls. Years later, that same passion led her to handcraft her very first handbag and with it, the seed of a business was planted.

In an interview with Greek City Times in 2019, Vasiliki reflected on the humble beginnings of her brand, saying; “My absolute admiration of my mother’s patience, her craftsmanship and her love for crocheting triggered my passion to also learn… When I realised that my handmade handbags were loved among women who are more or less like me, I was filled with excitement and a longing to make my dream a reality.”

With no retail or fashion industry connections, she forged her own path, blending inherited tradition with contemporary design.
