18 Greek Lighthouses to Open for International Lighthouse Day

In celebration of International Lighthouse Day, eighteen lighthouses across Greece will be open to the public on Sunday, August 18. Visitors can explore these historic maritime beacons from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.

The lighthouses available for public access include:

1. Megalo Emvolo-Thessaloniki (access to the tower)
2. Akrotiri-Thira (Santorini) (no access to the tower)
3. Arkitsa-Fthiotida (access to the tower)
4. Moudari-Kythira (no access to the tower)
5. Gourouni-Skopelos (access to the tower)
6. Keri-Zakynthos (access to the tower)
7. Kranai-Gythio (access to the tower)
8. Melagavi-Loutraki (access to the tower)
9. Plaka-Limnos (no access to the tower)
10. Koraka-Paros (no access to the tower)
11. Alexandroupolis (no access to the tower)
12. Tenaro-Lakonia (access only to the surrounding area)
13. Kaki Kefali-Halkida (access to the tower)
14. Vassilina-Evia (no access to the tower)
15. Doukato-Lefkada (access to the tower)
16. Katakolo-Ilia (access to the tower)
17. Drepano-Patra (access to the tower)
18. Antirrio Castle-Nafpaktos
