Before becoming an NBA champion and global superstar, Giannis Antetokounmpo made a little-known film debut at just 16 years old. Alongside his mother, Veronica, he appeared in the 2012 Australian drama Dead Europe, filmed partly in Athens, portraying a refugee family at a time when the Antetokounmpos were struggling as undocumented immigrants in Greece.
