Greece has unveiled a sweeping transformation of its naval forces under the strategic initiative “Achilles Shield.” Defence Minister Nikos Dendias announced the shift during a fleet inspection, describing it as a new doctrine of deterrence involving advanced frigates, AI integration, unmanned vessels, and expanded domestic industry participation. The plan aims to make the Hellenic Navy a significantly more powerful and future-ready force.
