The epic cinematic journey of “Odyssey,” directed by Christopher Nolan, has commenced filming in the historic setting of Ancient Corinth. With stars Matt Damon as Odysseus and Tom Holland potentially as Telemachus, the production will temporarily close several Greek landmarks. Filming locations include Methoni Castle in Messenia, Almyrolakkos Beach, and Nestor’s Cave, where scenes involving mythical creatures like the Cyclops Polyphemus will be shot. The project, involving a crew of 180, started with their arrival in Kalamata from Morocco.
