Released just ahead of the summer tourist season, the 59-second video is part of a comprehensive social media campaign targeting 20 countries considered vital tourist markets for Thessaloniki. Through platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google, the TTO aims to enchant potential travellers with the charm and allure of this hidden gem.

The promotional clip showcases Thessaloniki as a top European destination for food, culture, and nightlife, highlighting its distinct character and the abundance of attractions that can be explored on foot. From the picturesque streets lined with colourful buildings to the bustling markets filled with local produce, the video offers a glimpse into the city's vibrant atmosphere.

The video has already garnered an impressive 200,000 views online, receiving positive feedback from viewers who have been captivated by the city's unique offerings. Building on this success, the TTO has also partnered with the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) Spanish branch to further promote the video in 300 travel package outlets across Spain. This collaboration aims to reach potential Spanish travellers who are seeking a different kind of city break experience.

Recognising the growing interest from the Israeli tourism market, the TTO has adapted a new version of the video specifically tailored to attract Israeli travellers. This version will be showcased across all available digital channels of Israeli airlines Sundor, as well as on its flight streaming systems. By targeting Israeli tourists, Thessaloniki hopes to tap into a market known for its love of unique travel experiences and cultural exploration.

The creation of the TTO's new promo video was made possible through a collaboration with the National Theater of Northern Greece, which oversaw the casting process. The involvement of the theatre adds an authentic touch to the video, showcasing the city's vibrant arts and culture scene.
