Greek Police Officer Arrested for Pimping

A police officer has been apprehended for his alleged involvement in a pimping ring and violation of weapons laws, following a complaint received by the Hellenic Police (EL.AS) regarding organised trafficking and sexual exploitation of women.

The arrest, conducted by officers of the Internal Affairs Security Service, came after meticulous analysis and evaluation of information data, coupled with specialised interrogation techniques, which corroborated the officer's criminal activities.

In a detailed statement released by the EL.AS, it was confirmed that the Internal Affairs Service of the Security Corps carried out the arrest in the evening hours of Thursday, March 21, 2024, in an area of Attica. The officer faces charges related to repeated instances of pimping and breaches of weapons legislation.

The investigation was initiated following a complaint indicating the officer's involvement in organised trafficking and sexual exploitation. Subsequent analysis of information data led to the verification of his criminal conduct.

Following an organised police operation conducted in the early hours of Thursday, March 21, 2024, the accused was located and detained. Subsequent searches were conducted in multiple locations, including his residence, 4 vehicles, an office of a car rental business, and his personal belongings, resulting in the discovery and seizure of various items, including:

- 2 mobile phones
- €3,035 in cash
- 12 cartridges of 5.56 mm caliber
- 7 portable wireless transceivers
- Brass knuckles

The arrested individual has been handed over to the competent prosecuting authority for further legal proceedings.
