Israel-Greece Healthcare Cooperation Agreement

The health ministers of Israel and Greece have joined forces to enhance healthcare collaborations for the betterment of both nations. A bilateral accord was signed in Jerusalem, outlining the following healthcare focus areas:

  • Stem Cell and Genetic Research
  • Advanced Nursing Technologies
  • Health Insurance
  • Infectious and Non-infectious Diseases

The agreement, signed by Israeli Health Minister Uriel Buso and Greek counterpart Adonis Georgiadis, has a duration of five years, with an optional five-year extension. It facilitates reciprocal visits and consultations between medical experts from both countries, along with the organization of collaborative conferences.

This agreement marks Adonis Georgiadis’s first visit to Israel since October 7th. In a gesture of support, he expressed solidarity with Israel’s efforts to secure the release of hostages held by Hamas. Emphasizing his nation’s unwavering stance, he acknowledged the challenges faced by Israel in protecting innocent lives.
